Ballina Food Fleadh Date Announced; Saturday 26th August 2017
Ballina Chamber of Commerce in association with Mayo North Promotions, Failte Ireland and Mayo County Council and delighted to announce the return of the very popular Food Fleadh Ballina, back for its fourth year on Saturday 26th August 2017, kicking off at 11am and running late into the afternoon!
The organisers of the event are inviting you and your business to join us for an action packed day to showcase the availability of artisan producers from Mayo and North West of Ireland!
Mayo has a lot to offer when it comes to food and drink with quality produce on the ground and many great experiences on offer for visitors and locals.
Food Fleadh Ballina 2017 – bigger and better than previous years
On the great success of Food Fleadh 2016 with over 40 stall holders in attendance and 6000 visitors to the fleadh on the day, we want 2017 to be bigger and better again.
Food Fleadh Ballina 2017 will return with its ever popular live cooking demonstration’s featuring GMIT Galway chefs as well as local Ballina chefs. Arrange a date to meet the chef from your favourite restaurant in Ballina and pick their brains for that secret ingredient, watch them get stuck into the hourly cookery demos and tasters along the way.
The very popular cooking classes for the kiddies which went down a treat in previous years, attracting over 80 family’s to the cooking dome will return again with the chosen theme to be decided on!
Ballina’s local Framers Market will join the Food Fleadh again this year. The Farmers Market is a weekly Saturday attraction in the town and it is always great to have local home baking, and freshly grown produce producers included in this annual event, celebrating their hard work throughout the year.
Live Music and Entertainment at this years Food Fleadh Ballina
Entertainment by North Mayo’s’ finest Arts and Crafts people, face painters, live music and dance will also coincide with the food and drinks themes during the day to make this years Food Fleadh an action packed day for all, not to be forgotten.
The Military Barrack’s will be the heart of the festivities and for the second year, it will be hosted under the Military Barracks cover. Weather will not be a problem. Amble Power Points are available and HSE policy must be complied with on the day.
